Impossible to reach a human being when you have a question or issue. Their automated attendant is designed to either induce a cardiac event or make you hang up. If you are lucky enough to reach a live person all you get is a level 1 call center with no skills to solve your problems. I guess when you have no competition in the marketplace, you can treat your customers terribly. Their solution to everything, spend more for upgraded services or switch to Altice (even when not called for).
Very unorganized company. The employees are poorly trained and will constantly provide inaccurate information. Be sure to ask for their name and employee ID whenever speaking with an agent. It will come in handy.
Also, it is damn near impossible to ever speak with a manager so no one is ever held accountable for their wrongdoing. Save your money if you can.

What a terrible company with terrible customer service.
I've been a customer for many years, always paid on time. I called and was treated very rudely and condescending. I told them I'm canceling my service immediately so the rep lectured me on how I won't be getting any refund and I'm a fool for not reading the fine print

Worst service! We lose service at least one a week! Customer service is even worse! They laugh at you - it is that bad!
Since Altice has stepped into the picture, they have turned into a money hungry, low class company with horrible customer service. I called to pay the past due on my account and they made an unauthorized charge and took the whole amount of the bill! Every customer service agent that I spoke to (whom all sounded like a carribean family living in the same house), gave me the run around about why it "accidentally" happened and I should be receiving a refund. Needless to say that refund never came. They are all about money 1st and customer service last now. Just look at News 12s online page. nothing but ads now. Horrible to say the least
They are the worse company ever. It has been 11 days and my email problem still hasnt been fixed. I message them and call daily. They all state the same thing. Managers are no exsistent and if you do get one they are no help either. How can they run a business like this. My husband has had a techinal problem with the tv's and 4 times people came and either they didnt have the right equipment or they couldnt figure out the problem. That is still not fixed. We pay over $200 a month..for what? I guess we are now going to have to go shopping to go with another company. I do not know who is running the company but they really need to read these reviews.
Shut off my services a week early prior to my moving date. 1st rep tells me I need to pay another monthly fee to re-activate my account when it is their mess up...next rep tells me my services will be restored within the next 30 mins....fast forward 4 hrs call back. Am told it will be 4-6 hrs....call back, am told no, both those reps were wrong. They don’t get to “these types of tickets” until days end. Now been a full day I’m out my services bc of their mess up. I work remote and could not work today, I’m sure I’ll be calling back in tomorrow when my services are still not working. I wish I could give this review 0 stars
Initially their service plan would look value for the money. But this is just to make you fall into their trap. After that they will increase the price every year more than 30% without proper communication. Service is also not that reliable. You will see the frequent connection drops. Not worth it.
Altice Optimum have un experience phone technicians. When they send their field techs to the customers house, their own technicians state that the altice equipment are faulty. They state that there mini boxes require internet over WIFI but that did not work due to the distance. Therefore, I hard wire all on the mini's directly to the back of their " UBEE" modem/router. Once it was all hooked up, it crashed their modem/router. Meaning, I am missing services on my cable TV and my internet speed max is 120MBS when I pay for GIG speed. I have proven time and time again which is all documented in their records also by the amount of technicians that come to my house to fix issues. Optimum all states is to go back to the "Old SAMSUNG Boxes". They push for their new equipment but it does not work. I want a senior manager or a senior supervisor to come to my house so that I can show their equpiment does not work. Or even better have them come here and make my equipment work the way they should. All I ask is give me the services that I pay for. This has been going on for a year and it is very frustrating. They credit my account because of all my lost services only when I ask. I just want it fixed already. Last note, numerous phone tech have disconnect the phone on myself and their own field techs which is so unprofessional. Maybe they feel they can do that because they all sound like they are working from home and no one is over seeing them. This is the reason when you ask to speak to a supervisor they say there is none and someone will call you back. I WISH THERE WAS ANOTHER PROVIDER IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD THAT I CAN SWITCH TOO. OPTIMUM HAS A MONOPOLY HERE which is un fair. I want to move from this neighborhood just to be able to decide what cable TV provider I would like to have.
Absolute crap.
I moved and had to transfer services to the new location.
In the process they managed to re-assign my number to someone else, so I no longer have the telephone number I've had for 17 years.
In addition - impossible to get a live person on the line. Impossible to get connected to the right department. Impossible to get anything done... unless you pick the option "Disconnect my account". Then suddenly people are talking, prices go down, everything is peachy.
Very happy to be with Spectrum now.
They were only to add cable TV , but added our phone & internet . Then their remote stopped working & the replacement did not work .
